I don't know what to do - should I cancel Mexico and thereby increase my chances of not dying, and risk not having my insurance paid out, or do I just chance it? If I do go, and I get sick or whatever, my insurance won't pay. Shitbix.

I need to talk to my parents (since they will be the ones rescuing me), but they're not online. Dammit.

What does the travel advisary say to do? Are you going to a major urban center or the coast? Where is the epicenter?

Either way, take care.

Unless you're bound for Mexico for work reasons, I'd rather you not take the risk. Of course, the media will always sensationalize and magnify things more than it actually appears. But it's not exactly reassuring to hear that this swine flu broke out in Mexico city.

Don't be dying, ora_wai! Live!

It depends on where you're going. I'd stay out of Mexico City. Even though it's highly unlikely you'd get anything. I'd still be wary. Where were you planning on going?

(And if you're a person of faith I'd advise praying for some guidance too, but that's just me.)
