Ahhhhhhh! My Aunt will reach her first weight loss goal (10kg) this Thursday, and I want to make a big deal of it because she has struggled with it for so long. However, she's not really a flowers person and giving chocolate is somewhat not appropriate. Any ideas ( Read more... )

Is there a nice, healthy restaurant around you? Maybe you could get her a gift card? How about a mix CD with workout music? Or new headphones or some other kind of gear for working out?

Speaking of athletics, I saw that game between NZ and Italy yesterday. It was really exciting!

As someone who is also on a long weight-loss journey, I agree that food-as-reward is something to avoid.

What about getting a charm bracelet or necklace chain and at each future milestone getting a small pendant/charm/gemstone to decorate it with?

The fitness accountability group I'm in does something similar and it's a really nice reminder of how far you've come!
