My stepdaughter's currently sleeping in her room, but I'm not sure how long that will last. We're coming up on Mary's regular morning shouting time. My daughter has a very healthy pair of lungs, and for some reason she's decided that the last hour before lunch is exercise time. She isn't screaming: just being very, very loud. Still sounds better than Christmas with my family. At least until I moved out. Then it got a little better.

would using a tranq on those shouting be considered, you know..."wrong"?

I think I'm just going to be grateful that shouting time hasn't started around my house yet. Well... the five-year-old can cause his share of noise, but Livia is mostly quiet. Not that she doesn't occasionally decide to scream at the top of her lungs for a few hours, but that's a thankfully rare occurrence.

I keep telling Dick his genes are responsible. That's the show-off side of the family, after all.
