I agree with you. I have never seen the attraction to drinking at any age really. The whole "look at me I'm breaking the rules, being a rad teen and getting plastered" is just disgusting. It is never cool to puke your guts out in a corner or be obnoxious. I wish that the people I care about so much would actually start to care more about themselves and have the self respect to just have fun and simply be who they really are without the influence. I want to help so bad, but many dont see drinking as being destructive.
social drinking isnt destructive, i think both of you guys have extreme opinions and sometimes having extreme opinions is a bad thing. drinking gets drestructive when you start to drink everyday, by yourself. But drinking, and getting a little tipsy isnt all that bad. having a little alcohol in you makes everything a little more fun. Maybe you guys have never seen the attraction to drinking because you have never tried it, just because you have a couple drinks doesnt mean you are plastered, that is the only time it gets dangerous, when you drink too much. I also dont understand drinking until your puke your guts out either but drinking a little bit is totally ok. I think you need to drink once so you can know your limits becuase maybe one day you may descide to drink. i think you also need to be around drinking and drugs to know how to handle it. College is a totally different world and you are going to meet people that are complete druggies but may just be the coolest people, you cant not hang out with them because you disagree with

Well, I'm sorry but I still don't agree. like I said I don't dislike people because they drink, and I'll still be friends with them. but I don't believe drinking at all is ok and I know my opinion is considered "Extreme" and I've tried to see it in other lights because I don't like being stubborn but I can't shake this one so I have no choice but to stick with it. I just know I like a person, and then when they are under the influence (even just a little) I don't like them as much. and It seems most of the world is against me on this one but as Albert Guinon said: "When everyone is against you, it means that you are absolutely wrong-- or absolutely right."
