Sometime during last summer my cat got a baby bird and was running with it in it's mouth. Caitlin, Rachel, and I were all just watching this happen and he dropped the bird in front of us (it's what cats like to do I hear) and we picked it up and just held it as it died because it's neck was broken and it was having trouble breathing, there was nothing else we could do. It died in Rachel's hands and was one of the saddest thing I've ever experienced, and I only knew the bird for 5 minutes.
Reading your post made me want to tell you that. No one else ever knew about that day besides the two that were with me.
