Watchmen, Guys Night, and Hillsong United.

I watched Watchmen with my brother last night and let me tell you, it was the biggest letdown EVER. I don't know anything about the Watchmen comic books (which was my first mistake) and I didn't even really know anything about the movie itself, I just thought the trailer looked really cool. I went in expecting an epic, action-packed, exciting ( Read more... )

That sucks. Three hours! Geez, man. I feel for you. I didn't bother watching it since I don't know much about it and it would help if I knew some background info on it, but it's good to know I didn't waste my time in it.

Sorry about not getting concert tickets. That whomps.

It was pretty awful, definitely save it for dvd. If you're gonna make a long movie, it best be good! I still can't get over The Dark Knight, that movie was AWESOME. I love it!

Yeah, I found concert tickets on other website where people sell their own tickets but they're at really high prices. They range from 200-400 bucks, and they were originally 20 buck tickets. Gosh darn it!

I almost went to watch Watchmen with my friends, but we got called to meet our pastor at the last minute, so we didn't, but that's probably a good thing, been hearing 'boring', 'long' and 'gory' when people talk about that movie. haha.

Hillsongs are amazing. We had Reuben Morgan over in church & at the Festival of Praise last year, the presence of God was powerful!
Hope you'll get to see them somehow =)

Yes, it was too long, really boring, and suprisingly gory for a movie that was mostly about talking. Like this guy gets his arms chopped off, another gets hot grease poured on his face, and other things.

I definitely believe the Holy Spirit inspires the songs written by the hillsong team because his presence comes down quickly with those songs. They're wonderful praise songs.

If you feel that the Lord is calling you to get baptized again, do it. While I think it should be more of an exception, getting baptized a second time certainly isn't a bad thing, especially when you've come to a much better understanding about baptism. I first got baptized when I was 17, and although my heart was in it, I didn't completely understand the whole concept of putting to death my sinful nature, that we actually "die" with Christ in order to be born again. So after falling away from the church for quite a few years and then being led back recently, I got baptized for the second time (and last time) last year because I knew that I finally understood what it meant to take up my cross, leave everything else behind, and follow Christ. So yeah, man, go for it if the Lord's leading you. :)

Thank you, that helps me see baptism in a new light too. I wasn't really into church to begin with but I definitely plunged headfirst into the world and sin when I became a teen and made it back in pieces when I reached for the Lord's hand. It's been such an experience with Jesus by my side, there's been the tough parts, such as letting old habits go and getting my life back in order to follow Him correctly, but there's also been the amazingness of it all. Feeling his love inside me and around me, seeing things with christian eyes, growing spiritually. There are times when I wish I could just hug Him. I think that's the first thing I'll do when I get to heaven.
