I'm really having issues with feeling like I'm lost in the direction that I'm headed in my life. I don't even know where I want to end up anymore. It just feels like whatever it is I'm doing, it's always the thing that I'm not doing that seems more appealing. And it's making me very frustrated

I'm sorry to hear that you are so discouraged right now and I wish I could take a magic wand and make you feel better. You are just as good as everyone else in your program and I see improvement in your singing and performing each time I see or hear you practice or perform. Just because you don't have as much experience as other people doesn't make you any less of a musician. You should apply to the opera camps because they may be looking for people with less 'stage experience' so that they can get more out of it. You never know until you try. Anyways, I could go on about this for a while (seriously, I could), but I'll stop now and just say that I hope your are feeling less discouraged soon.

I'm writing because I don't want you to end up like me. I regret more than anything thinking that I wasn't good enough for performance; I dropped out and every day I curse that decision. Go after your dream. It's been well over a year since I heard your voice, and it was good then, so I could only imagine you good you sound now. Don't give up. Stay in performance, you could always teach afterwards. Keep goiing for auditions, eventually, you will get something.
