Christina's Surprise Birthday
WELL!!!! Yesterday was a long but EVENTFUL day. Well it really all started like last week when we were planning this, but let's fast forward to yesterday . . .
Yesterday, Simone and Neeti picked me up in front of Beaty, and we were off.
First, we went to the party store (I don't remember what it was called, but I remember that it was near Goody's HA! like the song lol). We got streamers, birthday candles, a Happy Birthday sign, plates and forks, and balloons. I also explained how the song 'Gasolina' wasn't about gasoline hehe. Then, we went to McDonald's cuz Simone and Neeti hadn't eaten yet.
After leaving the party store, we found out that Neeti couldn't say "no te preocupas" HA! it's okay neeti, we understand. Well, we decided that to get to Kinnko's (where we were going next), we would take a new route. Simone took Archer to like 42nd or something, right next to I-75. We were like OOH it's like 117ave in miami...right next to Turnpike. Or so we thought. We took it, made a right somewhere, and we were driving down some little road. We were moving along, 'exploring' Gainesville, and learning new ways to get around, and ended up at a dead end HA! Simone was not thrilled. We turned around and ended up having to go the way we already knew lol. So much for THAT! We finally got to Kinko's to print Christina's collage.
They said that to print it 'oversize' as it was, it took 24 hours, so we said 11x17, cuz we didn't have 24 hours. While at Kinko's Neeti snorted 2.5 times HAHA! Simone and Neeti were very hyper, so to help, I said kinda loud EVERYONE LOOK AT NEETI lol...it was great, she was like NO SSHHH! haha. I also talked in bad Cuban Spanish...Simone and Neeti were amused...especially by "piñason en la cabeza". HA! It was great.
We then proceeded back to Archer, to get Christina's cake at Coldstone. It looked so yummy!
While we were there, Simone got a glimpse of an Oreo cake, and I told her I'd buy it for her bday lol. I asked her if she'd ever had an Oreo Overload, and she said no. SO, we split a Gotta Have It between the three of us.
We finished our ice cream, got the cake, and went back to my dorm. We proceeded to decorate. First, we tied the balloons to the chair. Then, the fun part came next: streamers. The difficult thing was that Simone wanted to keep them straight, and they'd all get all tangled, and Neeti dropped them once (FOR SHAME! it's okay lol), and it was quite the task. BUT we finally did it.
Next, we signed the Happy Birthday sign and put it up.
Well, we were done. Simone had spoken to Christina, and told her how her mom had already gotten to town, and she wasn't going to be able to do anything. She also said how Neeti must have already left to go see her brother (although the funny thing is, her brother really WAS int won lmao). They were off to get ready, as was I.
The first one to arrive was Steven.
Then, Neeti and Simone arrived.
Chrisitna and the rest hadn't arrived yet, so we played some darts.
Neeti was sucking for a while ("the wall was taking a beatnig" as Steven put it), but then she got some doubles, triples and bulls-eyes, and she almost beat Steven! Almost ;-) lol
Well, they were taking really long. They were supposed to be arriving at 8, and it was already 8:30. We started getting bored and anxious. So, we took some random pictures...
Then, Giuliana called to tell us that they were on their way. That's when I called Christina to say that I was sick and sorry I couldn't do anything, but if she could come over and pick up her present...she said NO, that she was BUSY, and maybe TOMORROW. AAAH! I started freaking out, and called Giuli...she said, don't worry, I'll take care of it. So, I proceeded to look sick, as that was my excuse for not being able to do anything...it didn't work out too well tho lmao...
Well, Giuli ended up using the excuse that she wanted to go visit her cousin, and she lived in Beaty West 13th floor (what a coincidence ;-)...although Christna had already BEEN to her cousin's dorm once...IN JENNINGS LMAO!). They finally got to Beaty at 9:30ish. They knocked on the door, i said come in, and . . .
SURPRISE!!! Christina was in shock! She thought we had all ditched her, and when she opened the door, she slammed it back shut! We opened it, and she was seriously shocked! She was all teary-eyed :-P She didn't expect it all, and it was a success...YESSS!
We were then all off to On the Border...but, we had to turn around cuz "Neeti couldn't fid her wallet". The truth was, that we need to pick up Jonathan and Arathi at the Commuter Lot, cuz they were arriving at ten. They finally arrived at like 10:25. I asked Reddy which bag was hers so I could get it...it was the UM bag of course (what a rebellious mofo lol). We got to On the Border, and yet another SURPRISE! Christina was told Arathi couldn't come, and there she was :-D YAY! It was great. We ordered, and were all chatting. Randomly, Simone notied that Neeti looked like an Egyptian princess, and I agreed.
After that, we went to Body Tech...Simone and Neeti were getting piercings, and Christina, a tattoo. They said each person could bring one person, so I went with Neeti and Simone. IT was like they were frickin giving birth...a room in the back, sitting in a chair, taking deep breaths, only one person at a time, holding my hand, HAHAHA! They finally got their piercings, and it didn't hurt too bad. And they looked nice :-D
We got out, and Christina was still not done. We saw Corey and Reddy waiting for her, sitting back on this sofa.
Christina was a little nervous b4, but it was all good, and she went through with it and came out alright.
We were on the way back to my dorm to cut Christina's cake, and Arathi gave the best smile I have ever seen her give. I had to document it:

We finally got back. Neeti and Simone gave Christina her present...Coldstone cake WOOOO!
It was good. I gave her my present, and the collage, and we gave her the present Steven had left for her. We stayed chatting for a while, and looked at old pictures. I tried to find the infamous homecoming pic, but to no avail. Eh, i'll find it someday.
Overall, it was a great night. I had a great time with Neeti and Simone. Thanx guys for all the fun, and all the help. Reddy, so glad you could come. Corey, Giuli, nd David, thanks for helping out too, and getting her here lol. Steven, glad you could make it too. Christina, glad you were surprised,a nd glad you had fun. Overall, I'd say all the work and Chrisitna's sadness and anger toward her "friends that ditched her" was worth it.
