Here is a super easy to make dish that is to die for... There are numerous ways to add to slightly change this recipe depending on your taste. Feel free to change as you like

Do you think this would work with fresh salmon, or does it need to be smoked for flavor/texture of the fish?

well, you would just need to cook your fresh salmon before hand, grill it, bake it, poach it.. whatever.... So yeah it would work just fine, may need more spices/herbs, or a strong pesto.
