The realistic fics are ALWAYS the best ones and I can't think of anything more realistic than those that deny themselves the things they truly want in life...just to make someone else happy. And the way you wrote this was genius: the snippets of flashback bringing the reader to the present circumstances and to the ultimate realization--just as Anthony discovered it himself. So touching, simple, and REAL.
An epic fic of angst and emotion. and it ends in a way that you could definitely write a sequel. Though...the sadness comes from the unspoken doubt...a sequel may ruin that. Even though I'm greedy and will always appreciate more of your writing! ;)

I love realistic fics too! And I love writing them. And yes, I agree, a sequel might ruin it after all. I was thinking about one but the more I thought about it, the more complicated it got.
