Frozen Alive

tree's blooms
open their heavy eyes
to the glow of
the sun--
only again to be frozen alive
in their time of awakening
by the falling of determined snow
and cruel biting wind.

Dad will be gone 1 full year April 28th.  After quite some time, now that I'm ready to talk about things, I'd like to speak some about this person who helped create me...who I was, who I am, and who I will always be.  Because we all know that nobody is "all bad", I wanted to take the time to speak about the strengths AND weaknesses the guy had.

1.  Peace & Quiet
2.  Untimed lunch periods, even if I am scheduled a minimum of 3 hours
3.  I get to eat whenever I feel hungry
4.  Not required to punch in or out for anything
5.  I work by myself
6.  No customers
