Ok, so I remember when I first went to school being a huge ass baby. Like, at one point I'd be on the phone with my Mom for two hours because I was so homesick. And no, I take it back, I wasn't being a baby, I'm just one of those people who has a really strong connection to home and family. Like... if I couldn't come back to Columbus for some

It's weird to read how people overcome their struggles and adversity's. Your mother is a strong person and you yourself is strong. I do remember when you were homesick and everything well, I wouldn't call it homesick. If you have a strong connection with one of your family memmbers, shoot even I would feel the same way.
I have the same feeling towards my mom. I love her like nothing else on this world. But keep doing your thing and support her as much as she supported you. Brighter days will come. <3

I can also relate very well...I dunno if I told you this already, but my dad was never around -- he never even witnessed my birth -- and my mom went through a bad marriage while I was little, so I know about those issues. And, my mom has been going through a lot, especially as of late, with financial issues...her job tried to let her go, and she's basically been at home supporting the household and my little brother and sister without me there to help...so I understand the feelings of burden and guilt.
All I can do right now, though, is pray for you and your fam...everything will turn out alright for you, and your hard work will definitely pay off.

but i relate a lot. we barely had food when i was younger. my mom didn't have a job and my dad was really low in rank. he was never @ home, always deployed. and even though he was in the military, we still had to get WIC..which is basically like welfare. they had 4 mouths to feed. but anyway, i'm stronger because of it. and now, that we are in a better position, i appreciate the little things.
and i'm guessing you do to. god knows what he is doing. look at you now. i mean damn, your in college (harvard!!) and your making something of yourself. everything happens for a reason. i'm jealous of you and your moms relationship. i use to be close with mines, but not as much now.
YOU ARE A STRONG, EDUCATED & BEAUTIFUL PERSON. all these lesser experiences will make you a better person.
and nevertheless, i applaud you on all of your success. better times will come, this i know.

my boyfriend is pretty fucking poor, to the point where I use to give him food so he could bring it to his house and be able to eat. It's fucking sad how people that work a 9-5 still don't have enough money to make ends meet.
But look at you now Nicole at Harvard, and I'm sure you'll beable to make enough bread so your mother wont have to worry anymore. <33
