OK so I know the only thing I ever post about these days is the New Years Party, but I have a question for you all. Tippy has very graciously offered up her house for the party instead of the hotel in Portland but we wanted to see what everyone would rather do. It would be cheaper and maybe more relaxed at Tippy's, but it removes us from the

i kinda like the idea of the portland scene and a hotel likely full of other people that just want to ring in the new year. but i kind of worry if the hotel room will be accomodating enough, both in size and in noise-tolerance.

also i'm guessing the hotel room has more beds than tippy's house, which is a plus since nobody better be driving anywhere after this party, whether it's in portland or the 'couve.

OK. Since I've rang in many a New Years in this hotel complex, I can tell you this. There will be 2 beds and a hide-a-bed. There is a full kitchen and, at least in the rooms I've booked, a moderate living space and upstairs room. In terms of size comparison, it's about a Jewett room in the kitchen and living room plus a small bedroom downstairs and loft bedroom upstairs

I don't care a wink about being near Portland. Bars = teh suxors especially on a night like New Years. Also it's cheaper at Tippy's. Tip Tip ftw! Also I asked this elsewhere but it was a really old post so is it ok if Paulina comes?

oh for christ's sake portlanders can suck it up and come to tippy's, it is like a 20 minute drive AT THE MOST to get to the 'couve. Not like we don't make enough treks out there anyway.

The main thing I am concerned about with the hotel is that I think more people than orgiinally expected will be able to come, which is a good thing, but means it will be a) more crowded and b) noiser. I know the chances of it being shut down by hotel staff are slim, but since it's a possibility, and it's my name on the reservation, I can't help but be a little stressed about it. Going to Tippy's will relieve that. PLus the money factor of course, I'm sure you're all as poor as me and $20 not spent on hotel is $20 spent on booze. So that's where I am coming from.

Thanks for the input guys, I think I'll probably cancel the hotel this week (sorry John) cause it sounds like most of you will be happy to come to Tippy's.

And Max, of course it's ok if Paulina comes, I already figured she would and it would be fun to see her!

so what are we doing about sex? Like can we have sex in the hotel or tippy's house? or neither. I don't know the etiquette on new years parties and sex. not that i'll be having sex. i'm merely curious as to how the couples will be handling the situation.
