Wow -- would you read that aloud some time so I can hear it? I almost don't want to read a translation but just to let the words settle in as they are. That's a lovely poem.

Yes, please, read aloud! (Actually, that would be a lovely outgrowth of this particular memeage - to hear all the poems aloud.)

Really, more reading aloud in general should be encouraged. Of anything at all, frankly.

Hmmm...fireplace. Traditionally I have spent some noticeable portion of the trek into winter at reading-aloud gatherings. Ghost stories and Tolkein, principally, but I think poetry would be a fine expansion. Does Jack have a fireplace? (My recall is fuzzy...)
