I think it's horrendous what they did. I totally agree with you. I've also read an article recently about colleges and employers who requested that the applicant log into their Facebook account and allow the interviewer to read all the friend-protected entries while they were in the interview, and the applicants felt pressured to do so. Blatant violation of privacy. I have a hard time believing anyone thinks it's fine.
