Jean-Pierre liked to take pictures. He didn’t consider himself very skilled with it, but he enjoyed it and saw it as a hobby. When they went on vacation, he was in charge of taking the pictures, and one Christmas, Vincent had gifted him a better camera, since he was still mostly using his phone. Jean-Pierre took advantage of it and enjoyed exploring the features of the camera.
What ended up happening was inevitable. Jean-Pierre started looking for subjects for his pictures. Duchesse and Monsieur were easy enough targets, but soon enough, he started snapping pictures of Vincent as well.
Vincent didn’t mind, per say, but Jean-Pierre said he was photogenic, when he did not agree. Jean-Pierre would show him the pictures and sometimes even show them off to others, and Vincent would blush and stammer. Jean-Pierre could keep the pictures for himself, he didn’t need to share them. Luckily, that didn’t happen too often.
The other unfortunate thing that happened was that Jean-Pierre had developed the bad habit of coming up to him, every now and again, and taking pictures with him. Jean-Pierre liked to kiss his cheek and take a picture while he did so. The first times he had done so, Vincent had been a flustered mess, but by now, he was so used to it that he could almost tell when Jean-Pierre was about to do so.
On top of that, Jean-Pierre even had the audacity of sending him the pictures afterwards. Every time he opened his computer, to find an e-mail from his husband, he knew exactly what it was and when he saw the pictures - especially the ones of their smiling, relaxed faces, something in him warmed.
He couldn’t believe how happy and serene they managed to look and if he thought about it, he was happy with Jean-Pierre.
Still, he wasn’t able to properly function for at least an hour after he saw the pictures, a blushing, flustered mess, but he still kept every single picture.
