We blasted music from the kitchen in the Hale's house in maine, then filmed the results! We had some left over footage to use. This is not the same music.

it was made with 50 feet of 8mm kodachrome 40 slide film, a camera designed to advance such film at 18 exp per second (I think it actually recorded it at 24, everything looks slow-motion) and a flat-bed scanner with transparency adapter.

Phil Hale, who appears as GuyWithBlackHair, discovered that when you film holding the camera upside-down, then flip the film over after developing it, it will play backwards, but everything will be a mirror image. I re-mirrored it in the computer afterwards to correct for this.
