I seem to have acquired a magical neck tie

I wore it for the first time today. It seems to have caused a massive upswing in the willingness of total strangers to talk to me in a friendly and comfortable manner. On buses, in restaurants and on street corners... everywhere. None of these strangers has mentioned the tie explicitly but it's really the only factor that could explain all this
