park benches, kyuhyun/yesung ~ 293 words

"hyung, i was worried sick!"
kyuhyun knew this is where he would find yesung. after all, they’d both claimed this their secret hideout that wasn’t much of a secret at all. it was a lonely park bench located at the far edge of the park, nearly in the woods. most of the park goers ignored it, afraid of what could jump out of the woods at anytime, but kyuhyun had grown an interest to it and yesung refused to be left out.
yesung continued to ignore kyuhyun, quietly singing to himself.
"yesung--"
yesung stops singing abruptly and turns his head slightly to stare at kyuhyun accusingly. "are you trying to make me feel better?" he asks, uncrossing his legs and moving over to allow kyuhyun to sit down beside him. "because you’re always sick."
kyuhyun doesn’t get it. it doesn’t take long for yesung to realize that.
yesung sighs, kyuhyun never got his jokes. "you know, you’re always sick," he says again, but kyuhyun’s still got that dumb stare on his face. he starts once more, adopting siwon's hand gestures as his own. "you’re always sick, so saying you were worried sick doesn’t really make a person feel better."
kyuhyun frowns slightly, taking the chance to move closer to yesung. "hyung? are you mad at me?" he asks quietly, already beginning to feel that lump in his throat. the younger boy knew they all liked to crack jokes about his being sick, but he never knew if they were being serious or not and all he ever got in response were vague answers.
"you ask dumb questions, kyu."
"...i don’t think so," it’s a hesitant retort, but yesung just smiles anyway and moves closer to kyuhyun, wrapping his arms around the other boy.
"being mad at you is like giving up on god."
