The situations we have been in since August are too horribly similar. You make sense to me, but (and this question is for my own assurance, not an attack at all) do you feel evil for still caring so much? I have been trying to avoid evility for the past few months, and sometimes I wonder how good of a job I'm doing.

I hope you have a lovely weekend, despite all the badness going on for your beau. :)

Well, it's a doubly difficult situation. Because I am seeing someone else now, I really don't want to still have feelings for Lloyd. And I'd like to be happy for Lloyd, and not continue to always just make him feel guilty. I do love him, after all, just not in the same way anymore. I have always wanted him to find happiness. So I have lots of reasons for wanting to let the pain go, but it's very, very hard, and I was very angry and felt betrayed for a long time. It's hard to put all of that down.

I think the hardest part is that, no matter what, when you've been hurt, you want (for the sake of your own psyche) to have been "right". Admitting defeat, that it didn't work out, feels like admitting that you are a failure/loser/what-have-you. And it's the worst feeling ever.

The thing to remember in these situations is that you are a survivor, and you will get through this difficult time, just like you have everything else.

Time is your best friend. I sound like an old fart, but give it time, man. You'll get over it. And it's not like he's permanently linked to this chick, he might not even be with her for very long... Have a great weekend, man.

Thanks. Don't worry, I'm okay, it just helps me to work things out in my head when I've written about them.
