lol XDDD

Saving the world only happens in your continent, lolol.
IT'S A REALLY REALLY BIG CONTINENT, LULZ.

Thanks for taking all that time to type up the orange overview! xD There are some interesting ideas, although as you know I still can't help but feel like they're unnecessarily overcomplicating/stretching their own world with this One True Book and King thing layered on top of the 108 Stars mythology. XD

It defines a Jrpg storyline, or most manga right? Take CLAMP. Save Tokyo = Save the World. Then x 10 other series that fall in the same premise with the same characters, just in DIFFERENT DIMEN--.... wait. Why does that sound familiar?

In an eerie way, the Tiekreis world makes sense.

Manga is a huge culprit of this really haha. Most jRPGs at least give you a world map even if countries only consist of 1-2 cities.

In the beginning it seemed hopeful, stop the spreading of this "One World, One Way" group/cult/thing. It made sense in Suikoden sense (from what I hear from other people at least): fight against a group for a certain area you are in. Then it became Save The World and I was like "Oh ): at least give me the entire world map to explore."

:( World becomes small when the game companies focus on developing other things... like making that infectious book a major player to seeking your stars. I disliked how after they touched the book they'd act like they've just sobered up from drug-tripping and suddenly EVERYTHING-MAKES-SENSE-I-FEEL MANLY-NOW-LET'S-GO-SAVE-THINGS-GUYS.

And I probably would have enjoyed the game if the MC wasn't such a dimwit even if that is a somewhat fav aspect of most jrps as well. ARGH. I'd just complain about it just because I've gotten used to able-type characters, hated the gameplay for similar reasons, and one fault falls on the whole "one king" bit that always threw me off for special reasons.... But explaining that would just put me off tangent. Congrats to you though you got further that I did. D: And ho-crap I am definitely not typing correctly today again.
