Congratulations on the opera and concert! It's great that you're getting larger roles - I really enjoyed "working" with and hearing you in The Tender Land. And kudos on the mass too - our little Ben is getting all grown up! :~)
They are going to hate me even more if they actually have to play it. I plan on auditioning for the concerto competition and if I win, I plan on using my own orchestration.
On an unrelated note, I plan on coming to see Missa Solemnis at the end of January...most likely the Friday afternoon performance. If at all possible, I'd love to go out for a drink or two afterwards...I am 21 now. Let me know.
Actually, there's no afternoon concert of the Beethoven - all three performances are at 8pm. I hope you can still make it, tho; it would be awesome to have a good crowd of UNH singers in the audience!
Have you thought about trying out for the summer season? They haven't set an auditions date yet (sometime in February or March), but you should really think about it. Even if you don't get in, it's always good to get more auditions under your belt, and TFC is, as far as I can tell, one of the less stressful groups to try out for.
