The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark... Lord, grant that I may always desire more than I can accomplish.

weeerd up for that. A profound statement.

Do you ever find yourself questioning the compliments from others? I do. Probably because I'm aiming too high and whatever compliment I receive is in reference to something I consider sub-par.

Friends say I'm just being cynical or paranoid. In terms of my music, I have no other bandmember to share the compliment, so consequently I become a skeptic.

Maybe it's time for me to find a collaborator...

... probably the only quote that runs through my head on a daily basis. i find it applies to almost everything in life -- shoot for the moon, man, cuz if you don't, you'll never make it there ( ... )

Damn. You put things in perspective like no other.

What's most important, I guess, is to never lose focus of what your music means to yourself.

And speaking of collaborators, I just found someone on LJ. We'll see how that goes.

Thanks!
