Wow... I stumbled upon an entry from one of the regulars at SpinJam ,Ctuck . He's got pictures of me spinning fire at SpinJam!  That was quite an honor -- Infinite Kaos is an indoor space, so they don't normally allow fire, but they let me spin as the first of what will hopefully be a series of guest spinners.  Those guys know so many amazing spinners

It's always a back-and-forth relationship with fire... unless you're insanely badass like Heath, everyone starts out cautious, slowly get comfortable with it until at some point they're too comfortable and they singe some hair or something and freak out a bit... and then they build back confidence... and then have a close call... and then build again.

Minah gave me a pair of thos knitting machine poi -- they're great! Everyone that seens them falls in love with them, too. Will you be making some for burning man? How hard are they to crank out? I'd like to make a set with bean bags instead of the ball for me, and I want a machine so I can crank some out for lots of other people too.

hey cool pics... do you know if spin jam has a mailing list or a tribe or something that reminds ppl of upcoming stuff? Or does everyone just show up on the last whatever of the month? I still wanna go one of these days!!!

Miss hanging out and spinnin' with you Rog... I'm better than I was when I saw you last, too, as I'm sure you are as well! Be fun to swap moves again. Know what you mean about finding other good spinners.

I know SpinJam has a mailing list. I am on it, but don't see a lot of info from it. SpinJam is generally every Thursday from 8:00 till like 12:30. If there is another big event, SJ may not happen.
