Hey, I'm thinking about getting a dog. I've been thinking about it for a while now but recently I've learned of a rescue dog that needs a home, through a friend of a friend, and I met the little dog, Stella, on Wednesday. She's really cute. It's mixed breed but looks like a cross between these two types of terrier dogs:

If you've never had a dog before, and even if you have had one, I highly recommend the book "Good Owners, Great Dogs" by Brian Kilcomens. I had been raised around dogs, and I learned quite a bit. He talks about everything - how to pick out a good tempered dog, training, bonding games, as well as troubleshooting bad behavior. You can get it on Amazon pretty easily, and it's well worth a read.

If you have any general questions, though, I'm happy to share with you any knowledge that I might have. :)

I hope it works out for you having a dog to come home to everyday makes life worth living. I live my shelter dog and wouldn't trade him for anything

omg... txbutterfly lives! ahhahha... anyway... back on topic... my dogs love you and they really have good taste! I hope stella's visit goes great... understand that she may be nervous herself about the visit and any accidents that happen don't mean that it's her norm.... think about being on a week long first date. :)
