The additional tests they did on my eyes revealed that I don't have enough cornea for lasik. They don't want to do lasik on people who cannot be corrected back to perfect

My mom had lasik with thin corneas (I don't know how this was missed in her pretesting!) and what happened was that her vision was perfect for a few months, then her cornea destabilized and now her vision has started to get worse. It is still a lot better than it was before the surgery, but the doctor isn't sure when it will stabilize.
So personally I would not do lasik if you have a thin cornea.
