I just found out Alastair Reynolds is writing two new books set in the Revelation Space universe. OMGOGMOGMOGMOGMOGM!!!! Thank you Wikipedia for the heads up info. Seriously he is my favorite astrophysist turned science fiction author (yes there are actually a few of them).
