A week ago I had to redo blood tests for clotting factor V leiden, as well as protein c deficiency and protein s deficiency. Previously, when I went into the hospital for the DVT, the doctor there had ordered two extra clotting factors on top of those, so I'm not sure about those other results for now ( Read more... )

I've never tried it but I'm looking for something good. Any good links for a download? I seem to remember trying to find it was confusing and I'm not sure what version's best.

Well fuck. I think I can empathize since weird medical shit freaks me out. Hope things improve. <3

The major problem I have is that things can't improve with these genetic blood disorders, you can only prevent them from--and hope they don't do--further damage. Being stuck on warfarin the rest of my life is a depressing thought, and I'll hardly ever be able to eat sushi or any of the greens I used to love.

The idea that I'm producing weird cells that are carrying KILLER MUTATED PROTEINS and can do nothing about it is so frustrating. Like, why can't I just think about it and move a few of bits of molecules and get it all straightened out? Damnitdamnitdamnit.

'preciate it.

P.S. How's that lump in your throat?

It's still there from time to time. It randomly comes and goes, though it's never quite as irritating as it was that first time. Bothering me a bit tonight, in fact, though not terribly. I assume that if it were something dangerous it'd be worse than it was that initial time, and wouldn't come and go, but who knows.

Good lord, woman! You need a health transplant. *nods*

I can empathize with the medical bits, though. I'm in my mid-20s and I'm on 5 or 6 different medications. And I'm fairly healthy, all things considered!

Anyway. Good luck finding cheering up. You deserve that much, at the very least.
