So Xander finally managed to tell someone. Loved Spike's non-reaction. Unfortunately I don't think Buffy will take it that easily or calmly.

I'd say that Riley deserves to get killed by the next vampire he fights. But that would make Buffy unhappy. Well, fighting vampires is slightly better than letting them bite him like he did in canon. Or is that going to be the next step in the idiocy?

Tara seems a lot more sure of herself than in canon. Having the coven tell her she wasn't a demon helped a lot with that. And the fact that Willow is not there may actually be a good thing for Tara's self-confidence. In canon it felt like Tara was mostly accepted into the group because of her relationship with Willow. In this story, she is earning her place in her own right and with her own actions.

I actually knew the coven told her the truth in Book 3. there's a tiny, blink-and-you'll-miss it reference while they are talking about the spell to track demon energy. Her family are still pretty scary people, but they don't have that hold over her. And you're right, she's finding her own way of fitting into the group, which makes her more sure of her welcome.

Wonderful, I love that Spike defends Tara here, I kind of hope one of them makes a play for her and Spike gets to go to town... but then I really HATE Tara's family a lot.
Also... Tara, Xander, Spike! now thats one I never thought of before this put it into my head. And I find it an appealing image! *giggles* in another verse I could see adding Willow to that, I mean the only one of that group we don't know for sure swings both ways is Tara. Sorry tangent.

I like it lots. Writes more please?

Oh I meant one of her family makes a play for Tara (as in keeps coming after her) and Spike gets to beat them up. I pretty much figured that there would be no S/X/T, just that it hadn't occurred to me and that surprises me because it is an appealing image.

I haven't read any S/X/T but I think someone could make it work, under the right circumstances. *g*

Not that the entire ride hasn't been ... it definitely has! But I always seem to enjoy the action sections the most ... along with the lovin'. And you write both so well. I thoroughly enjoyed NTS 1-3, and know you'll do a bang-up job on 4 as well.

Sadly, we're missing a lot of Glory, because this is Spike & Xander's POV (I loved every whiny, self-centered inch of Glory), so they don't know what she's doing, but she'll start interacting more with them soon.

Wow! I'm incredibly flattered. That's a huge amount of reading - the story kind of got away from me in length *g*

I love Ethan too - what is it about these unrepentantly evil guys that is just so sexy? I was delighted to have the excuse to make him a regular character.

Yep, lots and lots of reading ^^ But it's all the better from it!

I love it when writers add him as a regular character, it brings so much much fun and snark to the fic, it's just great! ;p

Don't worry, I'll read the next chapters soon, but I alway wait to have a few new chapters ready before reading (will probably read when the chap 24-25 will be up :) )

Sometimes that's the only way to do it, especially with someone as slow as me about posting - I really envy writers who can update their stories daily. I have absolutely no idea how they manage that.

Besides the fun mental images, the thing that stands out to me about the orgy joke is surprise that Spike ether doesn't *know* orgy's require a minimum of 5 people otherwise it's just a threesome or foursome...or more likely Spike just doesn't care.

Ethan kissed Giles! Ethan kissed Giles! hehe! I'm gonna spend some time being crazy squeeing fangirl over them now...

I know! I hesitate to use the word "cute" about Giles and Ethan, but they had an awful lot of chemistry. I always wished Joss had brought Ethan back more often.

*giggle* 5 or more, huh? Never realized that was the definition of an orgy.
