I love how Joyce handled this. I don't remember if she had already died in the canon, but I hope you won't kill her anymore ^^

In canon Joyce lived long enough to learn about Dawn. She half figured it out from when she got so sick, she started realizing that something was wrong about Dawn, the same way crazy people know. I just love the fact that she's so strong and isn't afraid to tell Spike to back off.

Yay! Joyce is alive! And gonna stay that way! Yay!

...and now she knows about Dawn...oh boy...I can't wait for how Dawn reacts.

Joyce surviving was my absolute requirement to myself when I started this. She was such a wonderful character. While the episodes dealing with her death were grittily real and well written, I just didn't want her to die.

Hopefully you didn't miss chapter 22, which I just discovered wasn't in the tags, which has now been fixed. Sorry that I still haven't gotten around to linking the chapters one to another. I've been meaning to edit and link the chapters of the rest of book 3 and all of book 4.
