No Book 5, I'm afraid. We're kind of at a happily ever after place and, as you say, the events of seasons 6&7 won't happen in this 'verse. Plus, I'm happily working away at a Giles based story for Summer of Giles (eek! an actual deadline!)

A Giles based story? Hmmm... Could be interesting. Set in what time? During the years in Sunnydale or before or after? Will it be a Giles/Ethan pairing?

It's working out to be a series of connected sketches, one for each season. Giles/Ethan is mentioned but is not the main focus. Not sure if it's going to be a pairing yet, or just reflections on a pairing to be, so to speak.

Yehah!!! Loved it loved it loved it!!!

And so looking forward to the epilogue. My calendar has a big section put aside for reading 1 - 4 all in one go (the kids can look after themselves).

Is it too soon to be asking for 'Nothing the Same, Book 5'?!!!! *runs away giggling*

"reading 1 - 4 all in one go" - *sends hugs* Nothing makes me prouder than the thought that people think this is worth re-reading. Thanks so much!

This is the end of the series, I'm afraid. As I said above in earlier comments, this just seems the right place to end this. I'm absolutely tickled pink that you are interested in reading more, though, so thank you for the kind thought.

This was another vivid, tightly written chapter. The entire running for their lives scene was wildly entertaining, and I loved the detail of all the speeding tickets the police give out. I guess they have to earn their salaries somehow!

That mojo whammying Willow in the moving vehicle could have been a disaster but it was delightful to have her back, sanity in place. Xander stashing the others at the hotel made perfect sense, and I love that he felt the urgent need to get back to his vampire's side. His response to Spike's worried “Anyone got a phone?” put a smile on my face and Spike's “Killed a god today, luv.” he reminded Xander, just in case he’d forgotten in the last five minutes. “Fancy a shag?” made it even wider. I also cracked up at Spike taking all the credit for taking Glory down. He's such a cocky little vampire, it's hysterical ( ... )

Thanks, hun. Your detailed, thought out comments have been a joy throughout, and I can't thank you enough for them.

Spike wouldn't be Spike without the absolute self-confidence and complete arrogance. So wonderful he can pull it off the way he does. *g*

*beams* so glad you liked that last bit with Ethan and Spike. I really enjoyed writing it, they just seemed so similar all of a sudden.

“Destroyer of hellgods, Bane of Dracula, and Slayer of Slayers. Not bad,” he decided. Snort. As I said last time, the vamp has an ego the size of Texas - and that's why we love him.

Yep, definitely whipped and that's why we love them as a couple.

Congratulations love, this has been as pleasure as always. Can't wait to read the epilogue next week

Between the Gem and that title, Spike may never find someone to fight him again. *g* I just loved the idea of him and Ethan sitting around complaining about how completely boned they were in the evil department and not caring at all. Couldn't resist and I'm so glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks again for all your comments, back since book one. It's been such a joy reading your feedback. *sends hugs*

Okay, this was so incredibly awesome that I totally forgot leaving comments and I just read straight through. THIS is why I don't read your WIPs; they're so good that it would be torture waiting for the next installment.

And this line is going in the hall of fame: Oh, well, he’d always known he was in love with someone with the survival instincts of a depressed lemming.

Thanks! I was fond of that line myself. And I am absolutely delighted that you liked the story enough to read straight through.

Thanks for all your wonderful comments over the course of this series. They've really meant a lot to me, especially since I admire your own writing so much. And hey! I may actually have the time to go back and finish some of your stories that I got behind on!
