Nothing the Same, Book 4, Epilogue

May 17, 2010 00:39

This could probably use a final edit/proofread, but I want to post it tonight, so...  Over the next couple weeks, I will be going back through Books 3 (because I started but didn't finish) and 4, proofreading, tweaking, and re-posting so the chapters are linked internally.  No major changes, just a little clean-up.  Then the series will be ( Read more... )

I'm so glad this is finished, I've been dying to read it but I'd made up my mind to read it from start to finish, not as a WIP. I've just started my holiday break, so I'll have time to enjoy it properly.

If I see any typos as I read I'll let you know.

I look forward to your next venture.

Glad I finished at a good time for you to read. Hope you like it.

I'm so grateful for all your wonderful feedback and catching my typos. I've made many many fixes due to you, and it makes any story more readable to not have typos breaking up the flow. I'll be going back through the rest of Book 3 and all of Book 4 to edit/link the chapters and do a little tweaking, so any catches will be gratefully appreciated.

I've been with you from the first chapter. Has it really been 3+ years? Wow. I know I was probably one of the loudest pests each time a book ended for you to continue onto the next, but at this point I can rightly say "Good on ME!!" LOL.

Things have been a bit tough for me so comments have been sadly few and far between, but I have not for a moment missed a single update nor failed to appreciate the incredible depths you have crafted into each event and character. It truly is a masterful work of art.

I'm sitting here with a big smile and a tears. You brought it full circle with the memorial and the visit to Jessie's grave. It really was IMO the defining moment in Xanders life, and the event that started him on he and Spikes journey.

You have made it impossible for me to nag at you for another book as you brought it to the perfect close. Yes there are still stories to be told after all Spike does get to choose the destination for their 200th.

You should be very proud of what you have accomplished.

Thanks so much. You were right - this is a much better place to bring this to a close than the end of Book 3, I'm glad the muse had another story for this 'verse in her.

And I'm glad you enjoyed this wrap up, I did want to bring it back to the beginning for a nod to the start of all this - Jesse's death.

I am so looking forward to reading book 4. I started it, but I got way behind a while ago and decided I had to wait until it was done.
Congratulations of finishing.

I know the feeling. I've got a list of things I want to read, but haven't gotten around to. Hope you enjoy it. I'm pleased and proud to be finished, and just a bit sad. *g*

You have every right to feel proud. I finally finished book 4 again, from the beginning and what an enjoyable two weeks I have had. Thank you.
Bringing Willow back to Sunnydale was a surprise, but very clever - she was there at the start, making magical mistakes and she was there at the end, having suffered and redeemed herself. Swapping her into Tara's place with the Glory mind thing was perfectly right for your canon.
The tension of the situation built beautifully and you tell a brilliant fight - your descriptions are so vivid, it's like watching them on the screen. In the fights with Glory, I could really believe that she was as strong as she was and their situation was so dire.
I love your imaginative explanations for some of the inconsistencies of canon, too, but the end and the epilogue - with Xander and Willow at Jesse's grave, and Xander and Spike in Hawaii, were wonderful. Congratulations again on completing such a thoroughly enjoyable epic.

Thanks, sweetie. Your feedback has meant so much to me over the course of writing this. I'm both glad and sorry it's done, but it just felt right to end it here. So glad you enjoyed the twists on canon, I had enormous fun playing in Joss' world.
