Okay, so I lead a lot of dialogue-based mostly diceless Buffyverse roleplay. I even have my own little post-series canon with my own little post-series OC's.
...and suddenly, I want more than anything to have someone walk into that situation and have THIS of all things be canon for that. Come to think of it...
...holy crap I really need to E-mail you. I just need to figure out how...
As I mentioned to someone in an earlier canon, I can only see Giles getting involved with one of the scoobies (as in actually doing something) post-series. He's too much the mentor. But I can see him percolating quietly over someone until the time is right.
I'm going with awesome. I love the thought that I got the characters true enough to the original that someone would mistake an invention of mine for the real thing. Especially since this was pretty much an internal monologue, except for the last bit. I really had fun exploring Giles' point of view. ASH played him with such lovely nuance. We didn't get a lot of backstory on him, but you just KNEW that he had this whole other life he was keeping hidden from the "children".
A very belated thanks, hun - I can't believe that over 2 months have gone by since I was lat on LJ. Mostly good but this summer just slipped away from me. I need to get back into the LJ habit this fall.

Just a quick drive by to wish you a very Happy Birthday. I hope you're having a super day.
Much love, virtual champagne, cake and a ridiculous number of large and glitzy balloons.
