What's so special about having a "birthday"?

[ 'lo, Johto. Be greeted with one of life's greatest questions... or not. But Xion sounds genuinely curious, and maybe a bit confused, about the concept. She's heard it a couple of times now, but only did she hear it again recently did she really just find the courage to ask
