I didn't read this fic before I had acquired and read my copy of "The Last of the Jedi", which I finished yesterday. Didn't like the perfect padawan Ferus Olin in the first six Jedi Quest books (haven't yet read the rest), but leaving the Order and partnering with Roan have made him really cool.

Your Roan is great (his view of the Jedi - quite understandable and logical, his rather distant and almost naive picture of elected Senators - sympathetic!), he feels real and alive.

I'd love to read more Ferus/Roan!

Thanks so much! Ferus leaves the order in one of the last JQ books, under interesting circumstances. He has a few moments with Obi-Wan in that book that seemed very slashy to me, and when he turned up with a boyfriend in LOTJ, I completely flipped out!

I do want to write more of these guys. :-D
