*blinks* I put my USB drive through the washing-machine - accidentally, of course - and yet it is not dead. Huh.

That's a win! Either you have the luck of the Computer Gods, or a flash drive is simple enough that water doesn't hurt it. I'd make sure it's completely dry inside before using it too much, though. ^^
