Watch 'Angels in America' it hits on a lot of emotions surrounding death that we encounter... i don't think those emotions are that easy to dismiss and maybe it's okay that we are facing them even if the way we handle them is a result of our culture. I've seen both good and bad. My mother related very well and had an open honest discussion with my grandmother about her health and death. But i've also seen the bad, people running away from it and alienating their loved one.
