hey there ryan. i have a very last minute request for help. i know i have been talking to you about helping with that normanoak/lordfyre show, and we are still trying to figure out what will work for that. but now i wanted to see if there is any possibility at all that you could help with an Impossible Shapes show on nov. 7th. we have an opening then between pittsburgh and chicago and detroit seems like a good stop. i know it is short notice, i dont know if that one place you mentioned would work , or perhaps if you'd be into doing a house show. if not it's totally cool. let me know your thoughts, chris
chris, i'll be going to xhedos tonight to read poetry, i'll see if that date is still open. if not, call me soon (248.943.4649) and we'll talk about a house show. i'll also ask ashley if she knows of anywhere in ann arbor we could book on short notice. one way or another, we should be able to set up a show in this general vacinity. not a lot of time for promotion, but i'll do what i can, and i'd love to have you folks here of course. talk to you soon.
it looks like booking a show at xhedos for next monday is a little bit too last minute for them. the best they could do is feature the shapes at the open mic that night and give you a half-hour set, but that we'd have to talk to the host of the monday open mic. this doesn't sound like the worst idea in the universe, but there are other options (house show, and also ashley is looking into possibilities in ann arbor so shoot her an e-mail if that interests you, ashleymarielives@mac.com).
