Character’s Name: Orea

Character’s Fandom: Original Character

Character's PB: Leighton Meester

Age: 2126, but appears to be between 16-18

Character’s Personality: Orea is very much so a spoiled rotten brat. She is cruel, and vindictive, and prone to jealous fits of rage. She tantrums when she doesn't get her way, but thankfully, she is manipulative enough to always figure out a way to get what she wants. She regards others outside her family with little to no regard or respect, even other Gods and Goddesses that others would normally fear. Being raised the way she was, Orea thinks she is the supreme goddess, the one that all of mankind should be worshipping. Of course, her parents and older brother haven't helped her believe otherwise. She is someone who enjoys toying with the emotions and feelings of humans, someone who spends a rainy day fucking up the lives of people just to see how they react. She only cares for her family and those she takes on as pets, although in her mind, all pets are entirely disposable and are oh so very easy to replace. She is incredibly fickle in both her attention and affection, and her favorite people change quite frequently. Her mood swings this way and that as often as the wind changes, and when her feelings are hurt, she can be incredibly moody and terrible to be around. She has no modesty, and ranks at about a zero on the humble meter. I'd go so far as to even say that like the Grinch, her heart was four sizes too small. She has known nonstop attention and praise her entire life, but never actual affection or love. The bond she shares with Thylas is probably the closest thing, and even that relationship is viewed by her as being as a leader and his suboordinate.

The longer she is a mortal, and is surrounded by humans, the more like them she is going to think and act. She is going to become more compassionate and sympathetic, although her empathy will always be something that is hard to come by. She doesn't understand most human interaction and situations, and is going to come across as robotic or overly confused a lot of the time at first, until she better understands how she should be acting. She is going to be incredibly insecure in her human body, and she isn't going to know how to act. She is going to cry a lot, and is going to be very angry a lot of the time, but she does come from a line of people who are made to adapt. Once she's humbled, she's going to suck it up and work on improving herself. At first, her only goal will be to make it a month so she can regain her powers, but once she realizes that she's not getting them, her viewpoint is going to change. She may or may not actually work on redemption, but she is definitely going to want to be more like the people she's living with. Despite the fact she was raised to believe humans are below her, Orea is a social creature. She isn't used to being on her own, and despises loneliness. She will do whatever it takes in order to find someone to guide her, someone who she can follow. She is a big fan of group thinking, and once she learns to think on her own, she is going to have a very difficult time coming to terms with a lot of the things she has done over the course of her life.

She will begin as a fiery and explosive individual and will hopefully end up more docile and like an average teenage girl. She doesn't realize how vulnerable her human body really is, and is going to be in for such a big shock the first time she is injured. Her biggest flaw is in how she views humanity; how she thinks it is beneath her and despises it. She isn't used to weakness, and won't accept the fact that she's entirely defenseless and will need humans to defend her until she learns to fight for herself. Her pride is going to get in the way of her being assisted at first, and it won't be until she's starving and nearly dead that she outright asks for help. She will always be prideful in her nature, but she will eventually be forced to lose her vindictive and manipulative nature when she realizes it doesn't work out very well for her in a place where the majority of the others around her are just as bad if not worse. The good thing about her is that she will be like a lump of play dough. The people she meets and her experiences will shape who she becomes.

Biography: As far as once immortal beings go, Orea is actually very young. Compared to her older brother Thylas, she is about five-hundred years younger (although if anyone asks, she will tell them it is exactly five-hundred and forty six years), and is really still a young teenager as far as goddesses go. Although the body she has chosen appears around the same age as Thylas, she is indeed much younger, and it shows in the fact she is more prone to tantrums and doesn't have an ounce of humility to her yet. She was raised to never want for anything, and her every whim was always catered to. She always had her every desire handed to her on a silver platter, although she much prefers gold to silver, and demands nothing but the best from those around her. As a child, she was a spoiled brat, always locking her brother in closets after insisting that he play hide and seek with her. She knew from a young age how to take on forms that were visually appealing to others, forms that would get her exactly what she wanted from people. The form she chose during her early years equivalent to that of a human teenager is the one that the people of Purgatory will see, and although she is quite beautiful and seemingly perfect on the outside, she is going to learn that there is a lot more to life than getting by on appearance alone. She has a great deal of life lessons to learn, and her personality is going to play a major road block in being humbled and repenting for her many sins.

Over the course of her life, Orea has been guilty of six out of the seven sins, lust being the only exception. Although she likes to use her body to entice others and flirt with them, Orea does not understand the concept of being physical with others, especially humans. She actually thinks it is below her to let a human touch her, and is going to be in for quite a shock the first time someone in Purgatory decides to try and do the physical contact thing. She has brought down nations and entire civilizations on a whim, and has committed countless acts of violence and petty tricks out of boredom or jealousy. Being a young goddess with an unlimited source of power definitely got to Orea's head, and she relied entirely upon her powers to do all kinds of terrible things to mankind.

But for as much trouble as she has caused, it is very obvious that like Thylas, Orea is a product of her upbringing. She was raised to be idolized by others, and expects to be treated in the same manner her parents always have regarded her in. She doesn't know any other way than what she was shown and taught, and knows absolutely nothing about taking care of herself. She originally was in Purgatory with Thylas after the fall of Medea and Asclepius, but left soon after, finding Thylas' attempts to play with the citizens of Purgatory to be boring and below her, a waste of time. She hopped around here and there after leaving without a word to her brother, and eventually returned home. It was as she became bored with just sitting around and doing nothing that her mother suggested she go and seek out Thylas. Which would have been something Orea would have loved to do, but unfortunately, without her brother there to guide her, Orea had no idea how to return to Purgatory. Not only does she have a sadly short attention span, she also has a terrible sense of direction, and is used to always traveling with her brother or someone else. As powerful as she was raised to be, Orea is nothing more than a follower. She hasn't ever stepped out of bounds and attempted to overpower or overshadow Thylas, although she has felt her fair share of sibling rivalry and jealousy. She never had a problem walking beside him (or a very close distance behind him), and doing what he asked her to.

She will enter Purgatory at some point during her quest to actually seek it and Thylas out, while she is good and lost and is about to throw an otherworldly tantrum that could most likely bring about the end to a few planets. She will be brought to Purgatory and made human, the same as all of the people she has always regarded as being lower than her and nothing more than playthings. She will be entirely powerless, although she will keep the body she chose for herself a long while ago. She will be forced to learn how to survive on her own, and will also have to learn how to work with humans, but learn how to act and live as one herself. She's not going to be the easiest person to work with, since Hell have no fury like a fallen Goddess (or a woman scorned, whatever!), but she is eventually going to learn that she has to suck it up and move on with life. It's going to take being knocked down several hundred pegs, but she's a work in progress.

Your Sin: An overwhelming amount of pride, as well as some wrath and greed. She's a manipulative and vindictive little thing, but she also has never done anything for herself. She is very much a follower, and needs to learn how to stand on her own feet and repent for the things she has done to mankind in general. She just needs a huge slice of humble pie. Who better to give that to her than Hera?
