Okay, here is the first batch of pictures from my vacation. A small (sadly enough) number of pictures though. I mean, I have around 800, and this is 5. But whatever.
This first picture is of a bunch of border police sitting around outside the Jaffa Gate (one of the entrances to the old city in Jerusalem). These guys can usually be found in the back of olive drab jeeps that say police and have metal cages over the lights, windshield, and grill, and back doors that swing open to disgorge the people.
This is just a picture of the Wailing Wall. Notice a few things: all the notes in the cracks, and the mp3 player the guy is showing off.
The Dome of the Rock, through a fence topped by barbed wire. Also note the two Israeli flags. I really like the way this picture came out, because all over Israel you see fences and barbed wire, and flags, and the view through the fence is so beautiful. Basically.
This is a picture of the moon through a tree in En Gedi (down south...but not all that far. It's right next to the Dead Sea).
A picture of the outer wall and moat at Caeseria. I believe that this wall is from crusader times (1200?).
