Sleep at Last! Sleep at Last!

I'm sorry to hear about your horrible insomnia and fibro problems. I've been having some serious insomnia and fatigue problems lately. I didn't get sleepy until 5:00 a.m. Saturday night and 6:00 a.m. Sunday night. I got four hours of sleep Saturday night and two hours of sleep Sunday night. And during the previous few weeks I had severe fatigue and brain fog almost every day. I was so tired that I couldn't think to work and spent most of those days lying in bed and sometimes napping. I'm doing much better now, but being so tired that I can't work is scary.

What surprises me is how few people have empathy for sleep and fatigue disorders. I think a lot of people interpret them as laziness. Perhaps that's a side effect of our Puritanical culture. I told one of my best friends what I was going through, and he said I was being whiny. He's not my friend now.

I hope that you continue to feel better and that your health continues its upward climb for many months and years to come.
