A river wide

I think seeing the RW on television might actually make me throw up. I have a tendency to get sick from tension/dread/worry/etc - just reading all of Cat's chapters made me feel sick, and I was shaking throughout that entire last one - and actually watching it all go down might just be the worst thing ever to happen on TV, so. It's not going to be pretty. And it being Richard Madden and Michelle Fairley, who are so exquisitely stunning and heartbreaking in their portrayals of poor sweet Robb and Cat, is just going to make it all so many times worse. And Maisie as Arya, who is just - perfection, hysterical at being so close but too late - oh god. It's going to be so. awful.

Because of course, there's also this:
It hurts so much, she thought. Our children, Ned, all our sweet babes. Rickon, Bran, Arya, Sansa, Robb... Robb... please, Ned, please, make it stop, make it stop hurting...
[...]
No, don’t, don’t cut my hair, Ned loves my hair.
Jesus, George, cut my heart out with a rusty spoon, why don't you? D:

Ugh, even writing about this is making me go all shaky. God, it's going to be terrible. At least we've got a good year or so before it happens. Not that that's going to make it any better, or any easier, goodness knows.

Okay. I'm going to make some tea, and settle myself, and go write some more of my copper!Jaime-and-Brienne, and make all this go away. Adios.

angst, fandom: a song of ice and fire
