The France holiday was the most relaxing holiday I have had in the history of ever. We shared with a friend and her kids and it worked perfectly. I actually came back to work ready to come back to work which is practically unheard of. And remained relaxed for at least a week after.

Time with the kids while they are also doing school, deinitely much less on the holiday scale. OTOH I have leveraged this trip to get me to a duckmeet and have a promissory note for a long weekend away sans kids that may mean Mum and I get to a German Christmas market this year, so it balances out.
