It seems I'm done with the south of France for now. There wasn't anything urgent at stake, only a backlog of sightings of a Grim-like creature coinciding with floodings and atmospheric anomalies around the Gorges du Tarn. How horrible this is, that such beasts have been abroad. Only now I am glad that they are being kept to one place.

The worst of it is people trying to make existing dark creatures even more dangerous. It was bad enough when Hagrid bred those screwts, and at least he had good intentions.

Ah yes, I have hear many things of M. Hagrid from Mme. Maxime. She has not seemed to be frightened of him and his beasts creatures, but I have not had her courage on the matter I fear.

I've seen the grim, or dipt, before. It never ends up being what you think it is.

What's this really about, though? Or can you not say?

GRIMS DO NOT EXIST!

It's no secret that we're still trying to piece together how the Dementors came to be, and how they managed to affect the atmosphere around them so strongly. Anything that seems remotely connected eventually ends up in my department.
