I got the teacher of the month award for the KG department for January (keep in mind there are 20 teachers in the kg department so it's not like everyone gets one) -
Paris 12 and 13
Yesterday we did some more anime shopping, including finding ourselves ina little vietnam area in the process. It was nice wandering around very asian shopping centres again since it reminded us both of asia. So today we went tot eh Musee de Moyen Age/Musee Cluny. Yeah, I don't know what to call it. Seems like every sign called it by one of the two. I'm not as interested in medieval art as some other art forms, but of particular interest was a set of 6 tapesties called La Dame et la licorne (the lady and the unicorn), newly restored. Paris 9 and 10
Yesterday we went to the Opera Garnier (aka phantom of the opera opera). When we got there we discovered it was actually closing in less than an hour (despite the fact that I'd checked about its hours the night before on their website), but it took us less time than that to wander around. Yesterday we started the day at Lafayette (huge department store), because Mich had some big bills she was having trouble breaking and that got them broken pretty good. Paris 5 and 6
Yesterday we went to Victor Hugo's first, which was interesting, but we found the gift shop items kind of disappointing. Then we went up to the top of notre dame to see all the gargoyles. It was very cool and the guy didn't make us pay full price though I don't know why. It was crazy windy and rainy though and it felt unusually dangerous lol ( Read more... ) -

One thing I forgot to mention yesterday: I bought a extendable umbrella with a katana hilt for a handle. It it my Katanumbrella and I got numerous compliments on it yesterday ( Read more... ) -

Woke up early to go to the catacombs (and take some ridiculously gothy pictures because at least I'm consistent >> ). I enjoyed it muchly, except I was getting really pissed off at seeing all the people who had defaced it (spray paint and the like). Really angried up my blood ( Read more... )
