Thinking about what-could-have-been's can be fun, scary, depressing and in most cases make you realize that you're better off with what you have than what you might never have had.
Most definitely. I mainly regret not becoming an engineer when I look at my paycheck. A junior engineer earns more than a professor, apparently. However, there are more important things to a career than money. I love what I do. I sometimes can't believe I get paid to read wonderful novels and write about them and talk about them with people. ^_^;
