It's nice to be grounded a little, little too easy being caught up in college and the freedom. I realized that I changed into something I always hated. It needs to change. It's what everyone else wanted. Back to basics. Back to myself.

trying to tie that somewhere in my college essay...it's been 3 years...maybe 17, and i haven't found myself. what is our old self?

I liked that quote. I don't know about you, but my old self was once happy without much effort, I was free, no one trying to change me. I think the quote best applies to punk. They try so hard to rebel and be different from the norm that they forgot about themselves. The hypocrisy of it is that they all confrom to the punk image. I don't know, maybe? This reminds me of reading Socrate's Cafe in summer school.

dude, I wrote that "quote", I decided to use it on the line of what you are saying...thanks for the idea...I was really faking it hard those years back.
I think I am too cliche sometimes though. How is life, I must visit you one day! I haven't seen you since Red Robins, but you were looking good...but I dunno if you were completely happy.

thanks for getting me into college
out of everyone, i owe it much to you for helping me out with my essays and keeping me entertained in the process. I got into my first choice. <3
