The plague

Well, it's finally happened in a bad way. I am most certainly sick. Go ahead and laugh it up since you know I like to brag about not getting sick much. I've been rocking a fever since sunday morning and it's been most unpleasant. Mostly, I am just hoping it's not the flu because then I will really regret passing up that free flu shot at work. I've never had a flu shot, and I've only had the flu once. It turns out that was a few weeks ago. However, Lucas did have a flu shot, and he also got the flu. The flu shot you get only prevents one strain of the flu, not all the kinds of flu you can encounter. So basically, I think flu shots are useless. How likely is it, really, that you'll encounter only that one flu strain you're immune to all year? Not likely.

On the flip side, Lucas' flu wasn't nearly as intense as ours was, and it didn't last nearly as long.

I'm sorry you're sick. That sucks a lot. But don't regret not getting that flu shot. It probably wouldn't have prevented your current flu anyway.

Also about your dreams...I'm still angry with Michael for things that have only happened in my crazy dreamworld. Seriously. He was making out with that girl right in front of me! How rude. My dreams are always super emotional with a twist of plot. Mostly I just wake up crying or screaming or elated or whatever, and I'm certain that all these things have happened to me. I also remember my dreams for a long time. Like years. So I get my dreams confused with actual memories a lot.
