i love it. and i recently found out they made a movie out of it in '94 with uma thurman. might actually ruin it for me like all book-turned-movies do (ie: white oleander), but i'd like to get my hands on it anyway.
not all movies ruin it. I still haven't seen that one. that book seems more apt to being made into a movie than some others which have been done. like breakfast of champions. I still haven't seen the movie, but that didn't sound right. then again, I thought the same about catch 22 and that movie was pretty decent.
breakfast of champions (the movie) would have been good if it were not based on the book, if that makes any sense. when i read the book and then heard they made a movie out of it i was thinking, huh - how is this possible? the book was just too brilliant and no movie, in my opinion, could capture that. but i recommend you watch it anyway. i'd like to hear yr opinion.
ps. after browsing yr lj, i am adding you. if thats ok, oh exalted one.
