plotting a new blog

so i'm planning on abandoning livejournal for a new and shinier blog... any suggestions? in the meantime, here's my twitter

Typepad or Wordpress. Since you have your own website, you can use either to host the blog ON your site. Both blog softwares will give you instructions on how to do this.

that's what i was thinkin'... which do you think is better of typepad or wordpress?

It's a hard decision. I've had some problems with TypePad, but they're probably my fault. Wordpress will let you do more with tagging and such. TypePad is used a lot by journalists, but Wordpress might do you better.

I also have a virb blog which includes a backup of all my LJ posts and comments. I like their look & I appreciate the continuity. If you so desire you can link various other social networking services to it and set it up to post everything you do on web 2.0.
